How many times in the past 23 days have you heard of Israel killing a Palestinian child in cold blood? The answer, at time of writing this piece, is well over 200 times. While the U.S is clearly miffed at B Netanyahu it has consistently stopped short of condeming, outright, this obvious atrocity. The U.N and the E.U consistently use muted language as well. Have they not children themselves you ask? Why the amoral stance? Is it merely ‘politics is the arena of filth’ dynamic?
The answer is no.
Long ago one of the crudest acts of inhumanity took place against the world’s jewery while the west largely remained silent and appeased a fascist by the name of Adolf Hitler. Many have previously argued this played, a more than central role, in Britain alloting land for the state of Israel. But now the abused becomes the abuser and for the umpteenth time Israel is systematically killing Palestinians while the west enables or remains silent. It is high time we call a spade a spade: The murder of innocent jews does not justify the murder of innocent Palestinians 75 years later.
Enough is enough.
