The Rain Keeps Falling

In most world capitals the rain that falls is of the sort that wets your hair. In Gaza , yet again moments ago, with the breaking of the cease fire, that rain is of the sort that injures, maims, and kills: it is a rain of rockets.

It is abunduntly clear that Benjamin Netanyahu feels that Palestinians are disposable, whether they are elderly, women or children in the hundreds.

Equivicate as much as you wish but the west stands, largely, idely by as Gaza becomes  the personal shooting range of the IDF.

I , for one, feel that this is one rainstorm that must end for one’s moral radar can only stand so much moral rain.

About Amr Khalifa

An analyst, a political comentator on the uber complex Egyptian and MENA scene. I may not have every answer but I know the questions to ask. When not publishing in Ahram Online, Mada Masr, Daily News Egypt and Muftah I love the dynamic of the short story. If you adore the written word you have come to the right place. Pull up a chair and join me for a cup of literary tea.
